The
First Visit
On your first visit, we like to undertake a comprehensive examination
which will ensure we can make the best recommendations for the long-term
health of your teeth. This may include checking for oral cancer
and your jaw alignment, X-rays and photos being taken and models
of your teeth being made.
Preventative
Dentistry
Our team of dentists and dental hygienists will work with you to
prevent tooth decay and gum disease through careful assessment of
your diet, saliva cleaning efficiency and teeth structure.
Cosmetic
Dentistry
We can enhance the look of your existing teeth through state-of-the-art
cosmetic dentistry with techniques including:
- Tooth Whitening
- Bridges - replace one
or more missing teeth and consist of a porcelain tooth anchored
to the natural teeth
- Crowns - fit over an
existing tooth to replace worn, broken, cracked or decayed teeth
- Implants - new teeth
inserted into the jawbone to replace missing teeth
- Porcelain Veneers -
ultra-thin shells of ceramic material which are bonded to the
front of teeth
Orthodontics
Both of our dentists are trained in orthodontics and can provide
advice on the most appropriate treatment to ensure a correct bite
and anaesthetically pleasing smile. Assessment can take place in
a child as early as six or seven years in order to identify problems
before they become more complex.
We also provide orthodontic care for adults including "clear"
braces and "plates" which can often solve simple cosmetic
problems in only a few months with a minimum of fuss or discomfort.
Headache
/ Jaw Ache
Many people suffer headaches as a result of a dysfunction of the
jaw joint. Clenching or grinding your teeth and incorrect bite can
all lead to serious effects on your teeth and body. Temporomandibular
(jaw) joint disorders are very common with around seven in 10 people
affected at some time in their lives. We can conduct a thorough
examination of your bite, tooth wear and movement of teeth and advise
you on the best way to relieve your pain.
